Unified Schools programs are implemented by Special Olympics Saudi Arabia in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, with the aim of promoting inclusion between students with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their typically developing peers within the school environment.
This model is based on engaging students in sports activities and shared events, contributing to the development of teamwork, strengthening social interaction, and building positive relationships founded on respect and equality.
Unified Schools contribute to strengthening the values of inclusion within the educational community by providing a supportive school environment that encourages participation and values diversity among students.
Saudi Special Olympics also enables interested schools to join the program and apply to register and implement the Unified Schools model in accordance with approved standards.
