Special Olympics Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Golf Federation on June 8, 2026, during a signing ceremony held at the Saudi Golf Federation headquarters in Riyadh, attended by representatives from both organizations.
The MoU was signed on behalf of Special Olympics Saudi Arabia by Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abdulrahman bin Ahmed AlQuraishi, while the Saudi Golf Federation was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Noah Ali Reda.
The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations in supporting the participation of Special Olympics athletes in golf through access to training opportunities and competitions, the development of coaches, officials, and technical personnel, as well as the implementation of joint sports programs and initiatives that expand participation opportunities and advance inclusion through sport.
Mr. Abdulrahman AlQuraishi, Chief Executive Officer of Special Olympics Saudi Arabia, expressed his pride in the signing of the MoU, noting that partnerships with Saudi sports federations are a key pillar in building a more inclusive and sustainable sports ecosystem that provides athletes with diverse opportunities to participate, develop, and excel across a variety of sports.
He further emphasized that Special Olympics Saudi Arabia views such partnerships as an investment in expanding sports pathways for athletes, with each partnership creating new opportunities to discover talent, develop skills, and benefit from the technical and organizational expertise of national sports federations. These efforts contribute to enhancing the quality of programs and maximizing both sporting and social impact, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
This MoU reflects the ongoing efforts of Special Olympics Saudi Arabia to broaden sports opportunities for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities, strengthen their presence across different sports, and foster collaboration with Saudi sports federations through knowledge exchange and the implementation of joint initiatives.
